A few weeks ago, I was so fortunate to attended a wellness getaway with Vintners Resort and Ferrari-Carano – and from my experience, I found Vintners Resort is the perfect place for out-of-town visitors and local staycationers.
Reason 1: The food options are STELLAR!
The two restaurants on-site – John Ash & Co and the River Vine Café – have absolutely incredible food. Both restaurants utilize the fresh ingredients grown on the property, and source other needs sustainable, local farmers in Sonoma County. The menus both have incredible staples – like the Eggs Benedict at River Vine or Liberty Duck at John Ash – and equally as delicious seasonal dishes focused around the fresh fruits and vegetables from the garden.
Reason 2: The spa is a next level treat-yo-self moment
The Vi La Vita Spa opened just a year ago, and offers luxurious treatments such as massages, body scrubs, facials and more. The facility is gorgeous, with a relaxation room, pool and sunbathing area, indoor caldarium lounge with a warm plunge bath, and calming treatment rooms. I had a massage and it was such a great way to melt off some stress, and I definitely will be coming back to try new treatments. This month, the spa is doing a fun pumpkin spice body scrub to get into the fall spirit!
Reason 3: The property is breath-taking
The 92-acre resort is like walking into a little slice of wine country paradise. There are 78 rooms in villa-esque buildings peppered with beautiful ivy, and the newest additions to the property have views of the property’s well-kept vineyards. The resort also doubles as a wedding and events venue, as we were able to experience with their dinner in the vineyards. I’m personally interested in exploring Vintners Resort as a potential wedding venue because the property is all you could want: beauty, convenience, and down-to-earth staff.
Reason 4: The resort is locally owned, and doing their part for the community & environment
To me, sustainability and supporting the local community is one of the most important things when looking for businesses to support. Not only does Vintners Resort patron local farmers, but they are an environmentalist-level participant in California Green Lodging Program and have several eco-friendly initiatives. In the vineyards on the property, they strive to support local biodiversity through additions like nesting boxes for birds.
Reason 5: Easy access to wineries, restaurants, and main travel roads
The resort itself feels like you are transported away from the busy world, but it is surprisingly easy to get to from the 101 and is in an ideal location for expeditions to Dry Creek, Russian River, and Alexander valleys. Christopher Carrillo, the amazing concierge, has the best recommendations for those looking to explore something new in the area. During the trip, we had an excursion to one of my favorite wineries in Dry Creek Valley, Ferrari-Carano, which was only about a 20-minute drive from the resort.
Overall, I highly recommend Vintners Resort for a self-care staycation or a place for your out-of-town visitors to stay while they are in the area. Here are some photos from the getaway!
